New Hampshire heat pump rebates, explained plainly
The federal 25C credit ended on December 31, 2025 with no grandfather provision, and New Hampshire's own rebate went the other way. NHSaves pays $250 per ton on a qualifying heat pump, and up to $2,000 per ton only where the heat pump replaces existing electric resistance heat, a tier that requires pre-verification first, so an oil or propane home plans on the $250 per ton figure. Installation must be complete by December 30, 2026.

New England Heat Pump Accelerator
Per qualifying outdoor unit as an instant point-of-sale discount. One outdoor unit can serve several indoor heads, the exact amount depends on the qualified-products list, and new construction is excluded. Last verified 2026-08-01.
