New Hampshire still pays through NHSaves and the New England Heat Pump Accelerator. The federal 25C credit ended December 31, 2025, with no grandfather.
Start with the program, not the headline
New Hampshire heat pump incentives come from more than one program. Each program has its own eligible equipment, timing, account limits, and paperwork, so a large headline is not the same thing as a household's final benefit.
The safest first step is to identify the current fuel, electric utility account, proposed equipment, and whether the project is new construction. Those facts change which program terms matter.

The federal credit ended
The federal 25C energy efficient home improvement credit ended on December 31, 2025. Equipment installed after that date does not qualify, and there is no grandfather provision.
The state and regional programs still deserve attention, but they need to be shown separately. A point-of-sale discount and a later rebate are different forms of help and may follow different rules.
Verify again before signing
Program pages and forms can change during a year. Read the current qualification, deadline, product-list, and pre-verification language before equipment is ordered.
The rebates page on this site keeps the dated figures and their conditions together. Use it as a starting point, then confirm the project against the program documents.
